| Born 1952, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). National Diploma in Arts from Gwalior. Received many national, international and state awards, honours and fellowships especially National Award - Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi 1987; International Asian European Biennial - Turkey 1980, Prestigious Raza Award- Bhopal 1984; Bharat Bhawan International Biennale- Bhopal 1986 and National Fellowship, Ministry of Culture- New Delhi. Held twenty-one solo shows in India and abroad mainly held at Sapporo, Asahikawa - Japan, New Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bhubaneswar, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Gwalior. Participated in numerous group shows and national, international and state level exhibitions especially International Print Triennial- Kanagawa and Asia Print Adventure, Japan 1998; Bangladesh Biennale, Dhaka 1995; Young Contemporary Artist from SARC Countries, New Delhi 1993; International Show Comart, Korea 1992; 7th Triennale, New Delhi 1992; Artist Alert, New Delhi 1989; Bharat Bhawan Inaugural Show, Bhopal 1982. Attended many camps of national and state level. Works acquired in leading institutional and individual collections in India and abroad. Presently working as Deputy Director, Graphics, at Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal. |
