Mr. Prakash Bhise

Born 1954, Tasgaon, Dist. Sangli (Maharashtra). Diploma in Art Education from Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai and Post graduation in Fine Arts from Mumbai University, Mumbai. Won several order of merits and prizes. Held solo shows at Jehangir Art Gallery- Mumbai 1985, 88, 92, 95 and 2000 and at Varanasi 1996. Participated in more than twenty-four group shows and exhibitions of state, national and international level held at various important art centres namely Mumbai, Calcutta, New Delhi, Bangalore, Bhopal, and Holland 1999. Attended several camps and national workshops on terracotta sculpture, painting, metal casting, and murals. Works owned in private collections of Indian leading business houses, Arts Academies, National Modern Art Gallery, and many individual collections in India and abroad. Presently working as Lecturer of Painting at L S R School of Art, Mumbai.
